Bristol was the city of serendipity; having moved from completely differing hometowns, the quintet soon bonded over the love of similar music, yet each brought experience and influence from a wealth of different genres. Leaving respective bands behind, they moved forwards together.
After sporadically forming in 2018, what could have been a hot mess instead created a supergroup of styles. A mashup of music that turned into something modern, distinct and exciting; since then Kite Thief have not stopped.
Fresh from blistering performances at 2000 Trees Festival and Wildfire Festival and sharing stages with the likes of RXPTRS, Of Virtue, and InMe, Kite Thief will release their debut EP ‘Ambiviolent’ on the 15th December. The band recently signed to Year Of The Rat Records and previous singles have picked up coverage with Metal Hammer, Kerrang Radio, Distorted Sound Magazine, RTE2XM, Primordial Radio, BBC Bristol, BBC South West, Dreambound, Independent Music Insider, Amazing Radio, Total Rock, TIDAL, Deezer and more. The band tour the UK throughout 2024, including a run with Exit Child and will also perform at 2000 Trees Festival.
